With the relocation of Paya Lebar Airbase from 2030s onwards, the airbase and its surrounding industrial developments can progressively be transformed into a highly liveable and sustainable new town. History of Former Paya Lebar Airport

Former Paya Lebar Airport - The Paya Lebar Airbase is Singapore’s former international airport. The airport first opened in 1955, and was one of the finest in Asia at the time
Former Paya Lebar Airport - Many buildings of the former airport like the passenger terminal building, control tower block and some aircraft hangers still remain today
Former Paya Lebar Airport - The airport runway was equipped and upgraded to accommodate large jets. It was one of the longest in Asia in the 1960s.
